RadaR is an emanation of the master’s degree Critique-Essais, écritures de l’art contemporain offered by the department of visual arts at the university of Strasbourg.

Each issue of the journal is the culmination of a pedagogical and scientific project carried out collectively through the creation of an exhibition, a study day and a publication dedicated to the issues of contemporary art.

Unique in France and open to students from diverse backgrounds, this two-year course provides practical and theoretical training in the specificity of writing applied to contemporary artistic creation, in the diversity of its media, techniques, formats and audiences. It offers an innovative pedagogy centred on a dynamic articulation between university research, the acquisition of professional skills and the concrete realisation of editorial and curatorial projects, thanks to an international network of renowned researchers and cultural partners.
